Something is preparing for automatic mods installation but I am not sure if it would be an EasyMOD.

I heard that there is some people working on easymod for phpbb3.

for now, there are not even very many MODs available for phpbb3.

Installing MODs is really not very hard to do manually.

It is just simply read, copy and paste.

And patching windows is as simple as using a disassembler to take apart a DLL and then fixing it with some copy and paste.

Using EM to install mods especially security fixes, is such a great feature I'm surprised EM wasn't part of the phpbb3 core.

not a very good analogy there.

installing MODs is something that any one with the ability to make a post in a board can do.

if you can read and know how to copy and paste, you can install any phpbb MOD out there.

is easymod easier? you bet.

is it the best way to run the updates when you have MODs installed? you bet.

is it hard to do the updates manually? no way.

not hard, just time consuming.

easymod is a time saver more that anything else.

I always use it unless the MOD won't install with it.
