DO NOT give out any FTP passwords to anyone! There is no reason to do so! If you need help badly enough, create a temporary FTP account that is restricted to only the files that you need help with and give the information for that. Giving out FTP information can be very dangerous!

New Error Tracers

Post by GPHemsley »

Maybe I missed a post/topic somewhere, but is there any explanation as to how they work? What exactly are they showing, and what do the numbers mean? Just a little bit of description to better help people will be all I need. ;)

When an error is thrown, I start recording the functions that were called to get to this point. For example, for FTP, people would get errors like "could not CD to admin" or something like that. But there are MANY functions that call ftp_cd so I've no idea what is really happening. The function trace tells me exactly how we got here. For many functions there are several different possible places where errors can be thrown. The [number] tells me which one in that function it is ;)
