Agree. But you must admit, this is a pretty long process. I was trying to suggest working workarounds to the problem.Nuttzy99 wrote:That Authors would not update their MODs is stupid.
As I may have been a bit negative before, I'll just assume there's a 'not' too many there.Nuttzy99 wrote:I am not saying you are not stupid.

Yeah okNuttzy99 wrote:I was short with you b/c you were making me answer your question a second time.
Again, ofcourse I agree. And my suggested workaround wouldn't encourage well-EMC'ed mods, either, I know.Nuttzy99 wrote:As ET said there are infinite cases where this occurs. If a MOD cannot even be installed manually (which is the case with what you are suggesting) then it should not be available for download. I don't want "EasyMOD only" MODs. There is a difference between helping the community and enabling laziness.
My worries are more on the time it takes for a MOD (or any other file) to go through whatever testing is done by the phpbb team. Having submitted an updated phpbb language pack 1-and-a-half months ago (as the official danish is terribly riddled with errors) without having heard a word yet, has made me a bit wary on how fast such changes can be brought about. But seeing mods.db9.dk and the work ET and Christian is putting into it, I'm getting a little calmer.
