I uploaded the directory "easymod" to phpBB/admin/mods/easymod. I had to create a "mods" directory in the "admin" directory. Anyway, I saw that that didn't work so I installed it in the root directory, as well and the same odd page came up. I think it was a 404 error.
Anyway, I really can't figure out how to do this and any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Trying to install EM from the root directory is a big mistake.
In /admin create a folder named mods.
Upload the EM stuff into there, keeping the structure of the folders.
Then run:
[www.yourdomain.com]/[phpBBroot]/admin/mods/easymod/easymod_install.php

I tried that. It still came up with my web host's 404 page.
