I get the below error after I click on the Install Mods button in admin cp and enter my password.

DO NOT give out any FTP passwords to anyone! There is no reason to do so! If you need help badly enough, create a temporary FTP account that is restricted to only the files that you need help with and give the information for that. Giving out FTP information can be very dangerous!

So many unanswered posts, including mine.
This is absurd, EasyMod shouldn't have been released.
Beta my ass, more like early alpha. I would have to guess EasyMod gets installed and fully functionally less than 30% of the time for all the people who try and install EasyMod.
