Re: CHMODing
Might help if I knew what "RTFM" meant. But hey I guess EVERYONE should. There's no sarcasm smiley...
Oh and btw, I did put it to 744, but it won't work. It won't even let me access it now. How about you put WHEN you CHMOD in the manual. That might be good

Re: CHMODing
You shouldn't have to chmod any of your files. Just use FTP for your settings and everything should work fine. Which the FTP user has to be able to write. In other words have permission to write files on your site.

Re: CHMODing
what if you are using copy instead of FTP ?
File Acccess:
Reading = server
Writing = server
Moving = copy
my File Access Info:
read access :: OK
write access :: OK
root path write :: failed
chmod access :: OK
unlink access :: OK
mkdir access :: OK
tmp path write :: OK
FTP extension :: module not loaded
copy access :: failed
I believe that root path write and copy access need to be okay to use copy instead of FTP. My admin dir /opt/phpBB2/admin/mods/easymod
What dir/files do I need to set mode on? the owner of most files right now is root and they all have owner = root group = nobody and access mode 777.
Please tell me which dir is "root path" and how to get "copy access" to show OK.
Thank you,
Shawn

Re: CHMODing
Woah woah woah! The path that you input is not to your admin directory, it's to your phpBB root directory! And if you had read the stickies, you would have seen that we need the debug info to help you and you DO NOT need everything to say "OK" to make EasyMOD work.
