Is a changed files type of update? So it is faster and less chance for some error in download/copy?

The idea is fantastic. Is there any news about it, will it be implemented soon? This would be very useful.

Not in 3.3 as it is already feature-frozen (I think). But I will do my best to add it to 4.0.
