Post by pascal7 » Sun Dec 26, 2010 2:48 pm

The title of my post say already everything. On this moment is it not possible to enable the function quick reply for guests. I and manny more phpbb admins like it to have this function. See also the following topics:

The standard quick reply works for registered users only and with permission.

But it is possible to allow guest to use, adding the function code in viewtopic.php and confirmation code to prevent spam.

Well that makes 3 people and one guy who doesn't get the idea, that there is a post reply which allows guests to post things.

@Topic: I don't see, why this thing would be any useful. If you are a guest, the post reply button should be more than sufficient to post something.

Sounds like an idea, it wouldn't really effect me anyway. I'd be all for it, but wouldn't it be complicating things if you do this, because you would need a username box, and the message box, and a captcha. Anyway sounds like a cool idea, wouldn't hurt anything if the devs did something like this right? :D
