phpBB 2.x will be supported for at least as long as the 3.0.x range. Past that is unkown, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Actually, that is the MySQL config terminating large results, not any added code. The search.php on phpBB.com is the same as the one you can obtain from the downloads page.

Humans, not bots. Try as you might, you can't stop a human from reading a captcha.

Re: Search Backend Selection
The main one is the way the search is comprised. Doing a search tables route means that two tables must be cross-referenced with words and the posts that contain them, while doing pruning for common words. This creates a lot of rows (for example, my 153,119 posts phpBB3 forum has 2,542,750 rows in t...

Re: Why is Olympus called Olympus?
Unfortunately my suggestion of german Kaisers was not considered. :( Apparently phpBB 3.0 Karl did not sound as hot as expected. But I was pretty sure that my NATO code names for Soviet block aircraft (phpBB 3.0 Flanker ) or Jazz subgenres (phpBB 3.0 Hard bop ) ideas were going to make it until sub...

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!
Oh, and everyone watch the cvs for a commit removing the die in common.php . If they do that, we know it's beta, if they don't, it probabaly isn't (though they could just do it in the file they release as beta, and not cvs, but, I think it'd be nice symbolically to remove it.) You mean this CVS com...
