I don't know of any changes to the Captcha since the beta was released, though I might have missed some. I can get a CVS copy and use winmerge to check it if you would like. :) There have been some captcha changes in CVS since Beta1, not the least of which includes a new CAPTCHA Settings admin panel.

Of course, remember, if you have a board with lots of spam registrations, you could just require admin activation on your board.
