Re: So, the last surprise of Olympus is ...

I found a CVS copy when the new look template was leaked accidently in my server's backups, but I was nice enough to delete them. Sorta got told to keep them to myself. I was under the impression its very hard to remove all traces of something from a CVS repositry. Even if you delete a file i...

Re: Upgradeing

For your information I just started useing phpbb and I payed someone to install the mods. You payed someone to download a few files and perform the instructions in them? isn't that like flushing money down the toilet? You should have asked whoever you payed money to to actually document what he was...

Re: WoooHooo! Beta is out!

Why people don't download the .tar.bz2 package is beyond me... every compression utility worth it's salt supports it (eg: 7zip) and gives the highest compression ratio allowing you to download it that bit faster (and save some of OSUOSL's bandwidth). :P Well as it just lists the file names and not ...

Re: How big of a security risk is that 'security risk' reall

What about the md5 part? It can get really bad if you sign up and the webmaster is a malicious user. It would be nice to have salts. And that is the "stupid comment of the day". :D If the webmaster was malicious could he not just alter the phpBB source so it used NO encryption/hashing? an...

Re: When will RC be released?

subBlue ? Why do you want to put the template designer in the software ? I would have thought that would be obvious. Its so whenever you need a template you can just click subBlue and he makes one. It does mean he needs to be cloned and cramed into a zip file, but thats only a small price to ...

Re: How big of a security risk is that 'security risk' reall

Some shared hosts will allow you to override it in a htaccess file. If you ask them they should tell you if they have enabled thecorrect settings to allow you to override it and tell you what to do. Forcing people to run with register_globals on because "some scripts won't work without it"...

Upto 2 hours.

If its synced every 2 hours, and someone makes a check in 5 minutes before sync it will probably only be 5 minutes till its available.
