Re: automod should probably be shipped with phpbb by default
Hello imkingdavid, okay, one last answer. So, you force the MOD authors to rewrite their MODs. But have you asked MOD authors or all phpBB using webmasters which features should be included into Ascraeus core? When did you asked them? http://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-10916 http://blog.phpbb.co...

Re: automod should probably be shipped with phpbb by default
Hello imkingdavid, you want to phase about MODs? Who will migrate the MODs to extensions? Before this process will been started you should complete the core first. Then you and we will have less things to migrate and an effort immediately for the core and for the phpBB using community, too. I will u...

Re: phpBB 3.1 Information and Status
Hello Oleg, as I understand the things right I have red about the extensions, events and hooks things by now I can prophesy you that these things will not have any chance to be successfully. In my opinion it's a thing which looks nice in theory but it will not be usefull for the daily practical use....

Re: phpBB 3.1 Information and Status
Hello,
as I posted under viewtopic.php?p=240463#p240463 .
If the extensions manager is able to install a compatible version of Advanced Double Activation Pack then it's usefull. If not then it's not an alternative for MODs and AutoMOD.
Bye Martin

Re: automod should probably be shipped with phpbb by default
Hello, I'm quite sure the extensions system only will be successfully if all missing core features have been added to the core. I don't believe that this will happen. So AutoMOD still will be needed. But maybe I'm wrong? We will see! Or is Extensions Manager just a better alternative to AutoMOD? Bye...

Re: phpBB 3.1 Information and Status
Hello,
okay, "top secret" is a little bit heavy.
But for a long time there was no information on http://www.phpbb.com where to post feature requests and so on. I think it has been changed about one or two years ago.
Bye Martin

Re: phpBB 3.1 Information and Status
Hello, I think the extensions/RFC is not very successfully. I think a free features discussion without any code is needed. Also I think Area51 has been a top secret for too much time. I like the new way of partially transparency. But I think it comes a little bit too late. And then we have noticed t...

Re: RFC voting system
Hello, so many missing core features are realized with MODs for Olympus. At this time for me it seems like the MODs are ignored for the feature discussion here. I think there is a connection needed to the Olympus MOD DB. I'm a long-time MOD author. And all of my recent MODs are validated MODs. Some ...
