Re: [RFC] GeSHi highlighting
SMF do have syntax highlighting implemented at its core... So do many other bulletin board softwares. So, I dont think it is bad to implement it at core... Performance issues have to be considered. "BB solution xyz has feature abc " has never been an reason for something to be included in...

Re: [RFC] GeSHi highlighting
I say that this is what I'd call a great extension. I think the overhead of this does not make it worthwhile for the core. Many forums that run phpBB are forums related to coding, right. I still believe that that is not enough to have such feature in the core. So, -1 for core. Great as an extension...

Re: [RFC] Colons in language variables
Colons should have been in the language files from the beginning. :) Yes they should, but IMO the current patch isn't the solution. If it is okay to create a diff this size for such an (IMHO) trivial problem why not simply remove all the colons from the templates and assign them properly from the l...

Re: [RFC] Colons in language variables
I must have missed this topic, so per Nils I'll post here as well. I'm with Nick, a big -1 one a change that introduces this much duplication for a very limited use case. If the space is an issue why not simply add a space on the end of the original language entry for those languages that need it? O...

Re: [RFC] Remove QR post subject field
What abou ACP option (I know, there are tons of them even now...) - default = turned off, but able to show it up... -1 This kind of options are style related, as long the backend isn't removed its pretty easy to add the subject field to the template if an style author wants to have it. This kind of...

Re: [RFC] Show number by each post
Or give it different colors, i.e. "black" = read, "red" = unread. Something like that yes, bold/unbold will probably not be different enough if you scroll through a topic looking for the first unread post. bold/normal isn't that bad: http://cl.ly/2q3N0C0b0U3L1Y00190n Currently t...

Re: [RFC] Ability to @mention specific users in posts
There should be some sort of "notification" box which is used for these kind of notifications. I don't think that the end user should be able to chose, just add a new special box for these kind of notifications. Something like "Mentions" perhaps? The biggest advantage of making ...

+(a lot)
You can't have enough ACP settings.

Re: [RFC] Show number by each post
I'd say assign a template variable with the ID so style authors can easily add it if they want to display that.
I'm not to keen on adding it in the default styles though.
