Re: uploading attachments
It would be good if phpBB didn't allow you to set the upload limit any higher than the PHP limit, actually. Must remember to check if this has ever been reported in the bug tracker (I don't think it's a good thing the software is just sitting there, with not indication that something is wrong other ...

Re: Deleting Messages
Please make the following distinction: UCP: User Control Panel. Frontend, a section that all registered users get to set such things as their profile information and board preferences. A link to it will usually be available from the forum menu (although individual templates may change the location o...

Re: Support requested: PM Notification bug
If you go and delete stuff from the database manually, you can hardly call it a bug if things go pear shaped :) Do you have a backup from before the manual edit? If so, your best bet is probably to restore the backup. Maybe someone can give you detailed instructions how to get your database in a con...

Re: Some users can't see my forum
Don't worry too much about the "file not found" entries. Look for PHP errors (if you search for the string "PHP" you should be able to find them).

Re: Custom field inquiry
Sorry, I have no further suggestions. If it were me, I'd probably add some debugging statements in the code to find out what is going on, but that's not something I can talk you through. Hopefully, a regular support team member has some better suggestions for you. (I'm just trying to answer a few su...

Re: PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function session_begin()
Why not? ;) I can ask you the same question. Why would it work? And why would you want to? :) Like I said, I don't know if it should be able to run like that, but as BRF is pointing out, I can imagine that since it is not being invoked the way it is supposed to be (through the web server as a resul...

Re: Custom field inquiry
I did not ask if you are running the latest version, I asked speficically if you - updated the files - ran the database upgrade script. ;) Sorry to push this point, but the latter is especially important, because I believe the way these settings are stored have changed along with the way they are co...

Re: Some users can't see my forum
This sounds like the phpBB error log. I am talking about the web server's error log. I.e. the error log generated by Apache or whatever other web server you use. You may have an option to view that from the control panel provided to you by your web host. Otherwise, you will need yor web host's help ...

Re: Custom field inquiry
From what version did you upgrade? These settings have changed recently, from being a set of radio buttons to being a set of checkmarks. Are you sure you executed the upgrade correctly? Changed the files and ran the database upgrade script?
