Re: Rename ucp.php
Can't really tell you for sure. The way these scripts work you basically set a few parameters, hit "Play", and go have some coffee. It's quite possible that one single bot can be set to "attack" your forum to try and register or login as a user several hundred times...

Re: Bots and Styles
This sounds more like a bug in the software. Is there a ticket open for this in the tracker? Also isn't this something that the ACP takes care of when you inactivate a style? If it does not then it's definitely a bug.

Re: Database/Posting Problem on Forum
Your best bet is to post in the Support Forums over at http://www.phpbb.com/community
This is a development board and not meant for support. Thanks.

Re: startrekguide hacked = phpbb security ?!!
If you research it a bit you'll find that it was a server exploit hack and nothing to do with phpBB. You should ask your pirating-toting friends about it

Re: Prosilver Overhaul/Modernization
I think I agree with everything here except for the HTML 5 part. Since it is still in its infancy and is not even approved yet, we shouldn't be adopting HTML 5 standards that will break older browsers that are incapable of interpreting this. HTML 5 is best left for phpBB 4.0 at the earliest. I think...

Thank you in advance. Do it server ...

Re: WYSIWYG editor
As I said, don't count on it being what you've been working on. This "I did it but am not sharing" attitude is not exactly the type of collaboration effort or contribution we're looking for. This is also brings reason for alarm: it is prone to XSS and you allow pretty much unfiltere...

Re: WYSIWYG editor
3.1 - not a chance
3.2 - maybe...if you create an RFC
And why would you NOT want to release your MOD for 3.0.8? I mean how do you expect to get it working correctly for everyone and that it's bug free?

It's a rather long topic...easy to miss the details. Hope that helps others too.
