Well you could certainly knock up the style and even split it into some of the template files if you were brave. Just be prepared to go over them at a later date if some variable names change or minor functionality is added/changed/removed.

You can also compile PHP5 to use the legacy MySQL extension against MySQL 4.1.x :)

If you want to convert posts you'll need to use the message_parser object as well to recalculate BBCode hashes. But I guess you'll figure that out if you go far enough ;)

Maybe they'll "outsource" some of the other DBMS objects in the same way that languages get done.

I've also made a new template editing only the css file and including a menu file elsewhere. It's pretty easy and you wouldn't recognise it compared to subSilver.

If you look at the who's online part and notice how much Googlebot is here you'd know that this version is seo-friendly. Static-looking URLs aren't all thats involved in making a site spiderable and getting good SERPS, not even close.

The CVS snapshot works in many ways but there are many things 'broken' in the current ones, at least the one I have. You won't be able to edit the general board settings, backup, replace data, mod cp leads to blank page, can't add profile fields. Its also missing some lanaguage sections. So of cour...
