Re: Reputation | may I suggest to make it built-in with phpB

No it didn't sound rude at all. I'm just trying to figure out why you think a reputation system would be so great for a phpBB installation. ;)

No...but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to see if they'll add a reputation system into base. I seriously doubt it. Plus reputation systems aren't exactly all that popular.

Re: Reputation | may I suggest to make it built-in with phpB

This sounds like it would be better as a MOD/Plugin. Should be rather simple to install once we have all of the hooks figured out for 3.2. 3.1 will be a big step in that direction. In any case it would end up being the same thing. You want this feature? Download it and place the files on your site.....

Best thing you could do at this time is to follow this forum and pay attention to which hook locations are approved:

Re: Reconsider template info

Removing that info will also make the forum seem "dead". If I'm someone looking for information and I see that there is a single post then I'll probably move on. If I see that there are numerous posts in a particular forum that interest me I may stick around and read through some of the po...

I don't see how exactly you can come to the conclusion that a forum software is not what you need if it's not being used by people in their profiles.

Instead of doing this why don't you just try it out and see for yourself?

Re: my exprience: phpBB V.S Vbulletin

You know what I found extremely ironic, I was sorting the members profiles on phpbb community yesterday, by number of posts, while looking for a phpbb repairman, and of all the high posting members, at least half of them did not have a phpbb forum linked to their profile. I don't see how that's con...

Re: "Instant messaging" field nonsense and solution.

If people have both services, they can type eg: 5245234342/Someone@xxx.xxx but the whole point is to show people that they don't need two account. Having users enter data in that way is a terrible idea. Also it is not our job to show people that they don't need two accounts as none of these fields ...

Re: Ability to add Different "POSTREPLY" button in a forum

You have your forum set up as Locked. As an administrator or moderator you might still be able to create topics and replies by clicking on the locked button. That's not the same as what's being suggested here for 3.2.
