Re: [RFC|Accepted] Removal of subsilver2

In any case, it's really easy to change: Knowledge Base - Prosilver: Profiles on Left That is definitely not an easy change. Doing code edits is tricky for some/many people. If we are talking about what the majority wants, they want topic data on the left. If it can't be made an option then perhaps...

Re: [RFC|Accepted] Removal of subsilver2

I think a lot of people don't like prosilver because of the user data being on the right side in topics. When I first upgraded my forum, many of our users complained about it. If there was a switch in the ACP and it was defaulted to the left on installation, I think many more people would use prosil...

Blizzard's New Forum

Blizzard has recently launched the beta of their new forum. http://beta-us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/ There are quite a few interesting features and design choices. It is very minimalistic. Most features, such as post rating, are hidden unless you mouse over a post or topic. I am unable to locate any ...

Re: [RFC] Updated BBcode engine

I think all BBCodes should be "custom". I was wondering why the trouble would be gone to have a standard set of bbCode along with custom. It would make much more sense for everything to be in the same system. Also it would be nice if you could arrange the order of display in the ACP. Have...

Re: Suspecting RC1 very soon!

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but on the Sourcecode documentation page (http://area51.phpbb.com/docs/code/) there is a to do list. I wonder if that is stuff that needs to be done now or after RC1.

RC isn't just two letters put together, they stand for Release Candidate. It means the developer has a product they think is perfect (well maybe not perfect) and ready for release. You don't want to treat Release Candidates the same as betas.

Re: Bug is less,

There are over a half dozen new bugs being reported daily. And most are legitimate. If RC1 is released now there will likely be a huge influx of bugs which will cause the developers strain to support a lot of upgrades. It is probably better to hold off a little longer until the bug reports drop down...

Re: phpbb.com main site down

I don't think this is related to updates. The main website has been having issues for weeks now.

Re: Suspecting RC1 very soon!

I saw this topic locked for a moment and it made me think RC1 was released. Guess Smithy just checked the lock topic option by accident =[
