Re: Applying changes in 3.1 to 3.0 prosilver

What about mods that edit the core? I've been wondering recently what changes have been made because on my website, there's been a few edits to files in the language and includes folders. Obviously a thorough test would have to be undertaken, but is there provision for updated mods or do I have to r...

Re: Some suggestions

What about: http://qs.lc/zsjbf Instead of: http://qs.lc/ucqoa Also, 'topic review' should be in front of the new topic textarea. Personally, I think the first one looks much better. It's natural because the navigation links are usually nearer the top anyway which is what them breadcrumbs essentiall...

Re: Why is the avatar function now under a dropdown menu?

But now you can use 3 providers for your avatar: Remote, Upload and Gravatar and the extensions can add new providers. I'm not sure that you can have a clear UI if 10 different form are displayed. Well, it would end up looking similar to the Profile page with a ton of options in there as well. The ...

Re: Why is the avatar function now under a dropdown menu?

Am I missing something here? Each type of supported avatar has different field input requirements. It would actually be more confusing to try and present all of these at once. The 3.1 implementation is much cleaner, as the user simply chooses the type of avatar they want to go with and are presente...

Yes.

It looks like it's that way before you set an avatar so I can see the point of it (I was missing something :? ). I still think it was better the way it was before though where the options were just listed, but that's just me.

Why is the avatar function now under a dropdown menu?

So, the end user goes to the UCP, then 'profile' but then you have the 'avatar type: No avatar selected.' Why? What's the point? What was wrong with having your options laid down in front of you without having to select from a dropdown first? It seems like you've needlessly made it a little more com...

Re: Defining a New Default Theme

Another idea is to etablish a simple style editor in admin panel with main informations. For exemple, let's the possibility to change some colors, images that are in CSS, font-size, etc... It will be usefull for administrators who don't really know CSS. Surely if an administrator wants to style the...

Re: Ban member from thread

thread is not the correct word as this is a forum and not a message board and they are called topics in PHPBB, to avoid confusion in the future. I understood what he meant. 'Thread' and 'Topic' are synonymous with one another and used interchangeably with most forums around the globe. Surely if you...

Re: Title of last post for each forum on board index...

Aren't they one and the same? If a user posted in 'topic 1' then the last topic and last post will link to the exact same place..?
