nofollow could help reduce spam. Are you forgetting the spam that is soley for the benifit of search engines? I have seen it done many times on Wikis, a user will add a number of links to their site and put it in a hidden style. Humans can't read it so they surely must be leaving it for the spiders....

Also some browser are configured to block Javascript, this was commonly done when people used it to block javascript popups. AJAX is easily programmed to get around this... If you put it in purspective of the other major bb systems, like vbulletin, IPB, and some other open source ones as well, easybb, SMF, icebb. He should just make a script that goes and finds out how many bugs are in the database every day automatically(and how many are marked for later). a) Do database restores work from older CVS' to newer ones? Yes and No. It really depends. If the database changed between the versions then it won't work. Sometimes upgrading by copying in new files causes problems, (I had an error that went away if I clean installed so I guess it was a DB issue)....
