Re: Post reply vs Quick reply
Quick reply is an amazingly simple mod, all it does/will require is to copy paste the right form elements into the template for view_topic, javascript or not it doesn't really matter. As far as loading smilies goes you can just have a link to the smile pop-up window that we get already, quick reply ...

Re: Multiple questions in a poll
Well I think in some cases this 'survey' style could be considered a poll. For example if you were electing moderators for a forum from a number of canditates you may form a poll as follows: Would you choose Moderator A? o Yes o No o Abstain Would you choose Moderator B? o Yes o No o Abstain Would y...

Re: Concerning Bots and Karma
Okay not really related at all but the combination of questions in the first post sparked this thought. How do bots treat karma? Do they get default user karma settings, or do they view all by default? Would be an interesting way to control how bots index things IMO, not perfect but it would stop th...

Re: Sticky posts
I can see the uses for it, for example over at starkingdoms.com where I'm a moderator support threads can get very large but the first post is entirely useless to new users, ie the solution to a problem is usually buried several pages in so moving it to the front could be useful. But I think it is b...

Re: File attachment feature
I think you need to slow down a bit, quite simply this is not where feature requests go, you posted your request in a forum for discussing existing features, not proposing new ones. The feature request tracker (there's a link on the forum front page) is for feature requests such as yours, if you wan...

Re: New karma post...
I dont know why you all debate it: if you don't like it, disable it! :x  Easy said Coolio but I think most people would begrudge a feature if it means extra processing for something they don't use. If I turn off 20 features I don't really want those 20 IF statements or whatever running anyway ...

Re: warning feature....
This has been asked before and psoTFX (I think) confirmed that it was on the list of things to put in. They already have the report system so it would be a bit backwards not to have a warning system to complement it

Bah silly timed edit thingy.
Ignore that post I found it, it was nothing to do with the preg_replace after all

Re: Tags within tags and preg_replace
Okay here's another one in relation to the switching mechanism I am using. I have the following code to remove any switches that are not triggered: <?php $clean = array( "'<switch([^>]*?)>.*?</switch\\1>'si", "'</switch[^>]*?>'i", "'<else[^>]*?>'i", "'</else[^>]*?>...
