phpBB is like Firefox: small, lightweight, flexible and fast. The others are like IE: bloated, coming with unneeded features and full of security holes :mrgreen: (whoa: have to work on the auto-insert bbcode there, guys! ;)) Anyway: I think it's best if it starts small. That way, people can install...

Categories use the same table as forums. The only thing that distinguishes them is a field value. I suppose that one could have it so that a sub-"category" gets listed along with sub-forums. It wouldn't be difficult to hack in if the functionality isn't already there.

Gwkempf: Measure twice, cut once :) They should plan out how to do PMs long before they actually do it...it means more stable code done in less time (IMO) I believe that is what the restricted forum is for. I can't say for sure, but I imagine they'd at least thoroughly discuss how it would be imple...

That didn't answer my question. I was asking if it was possible to track all of the sub-forums of a selected forum by tracking just that forum.
