Re: inactive users
What is the result of making a user 'inactive' ? What does 'inactive' mean ? e.g., Do inactive users get bulk email ? Can they post, assuming permissions granted ? etc.

Re: Will phpBB3 have MODs? EZMOD
i'm a wordpress and phpbb user for some time now... what i would REALLY love is that phpbb had MODs that worked like the wordpress plugins! it's like so awesome! wish phpbb would ever do that... I'll second (or third) that. Any chance we can get phpbb3 mods to work like wordpress' plugins system? I...

No matter, it was during $work$ hours nyah nyah  IMhO coders are not very good testors ... and neither are very good at the gritty of documenting their work, and so often the import task of user documentat...

Re: Custom profile fields
... Putting them into a group and changing them back by hand would be hell on a large forum. Yes. TooToo mucho overhead to do it by hand. For mine, if the phpbb3 user is registered with the phpbb2 at changeover, then I'll just make a general announcement for users to update their profile. I do like...

templating sys
I found a tutorial on templating changes in phpBB3. The post is from the last quarter of 2003.

Please, does this post still validly describe the basic phpBB3 templating system ?

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!
Pharaoh, also, just because it contains bugs it doesn't mean they can't release a beta version. The definition I've always known of beta software is that it is feature complete but still contains bugs (possibly majour ones) and is in the development phase of removing the bugs and improving the perf...

Re: New CAPTCHA
it seems to me that any user who is silly enough to enable captcha and then disable all captcha policies deserves what they get, somewhat. Words other than silly probably apply, yes? It'll be done !!! and as it stands the question/problemo will no doubt be asked many times in the production release...

Re: New CAPTCHA
I would love to see what colour blind people think. Hmm... well here's an idea: :D ;) captchacolor-blind.gif Would this be better? no color difference, but its still fairly easy to read. The lines directly connect, so mabey that will screw a bot around. I cannot read the colorblind one good enough ...
