It should have been removed a long time ago imo. Perhaps we can use .gitignore as a stop gap.

I might be mistaken but aren't the data attributes introduced in the HTML 5 spec? Yes, that is correct. But this is phpBB 3.2 so it might be feasible, plus it's already supported by all browsers (afaik). I guess we'll have to see if we want to go down that route. http://dev.w3.org/html5/html-author...

Yes to including jQuery :-) No to loading from Google (or another CDN). While google's servers may be reliable, my connection to them is not. Particularly here in China, various Google services are often arbitrarily blocked. All JS should be served from the phpBB instance itself. The loading needs ...

Could we use the build script to set the @version information to the release version, it's always been kind of handy as a quick check.
