Re: Gender Icons in topicview / etc.

While we are at it. And how about... Quick Edit? Ajax to tell how much characters you have left? Ajax to tell how many more files / how much file size you have left for this post for attachments? phpBB 3.0 will not have any Ajax. :) This was a concious decision, to give it a foundation that requires...

Re: Gender Icons in topicview / etc.

Gender can be handled by the custom profile fields. OK, so its not an image but it still does the job. Thanks to the template engine, it only needs tiny changes in the template to add the image. You can use custom profile fields in templates, the parts on how to use and include them are properly co...

Re: New permissions screen discussion..

When I edit the, lets say, "Moderation permissions", and after that the "User permissions", only the "User p." are being saved. It is a bit complicated when editing all three kinds of permissions, e.g. when editing a single user you have to type his name three times. W...

Re: New permissions screen discussion..

I just checked out the latest CVS and this new style looks nicer and less cluttered. I also like how the permanent groups are bold instead of orange. When they were colored they looked highlighted already and it was confusing in the beginning. Yah, that was the point of changing it. I was actually ...

Re: New permissions screen discussion..

The fifth is a suggest enhancement for the mixed one. It allows you see at a glance what the mix is. Since the colours are there to give a visual aid I feel this would be a great addition to a already great layout. I had that discussion with some team members but I feel that if you go beyond the fo...

Please note that I know the problem with the disappearing checkbox in some instances. No need to report a bug about that. ;)

Re: New permissions screen discussion..

I just realised, that this is actually a little broken currently. It should show the correct colour dynamically all the time (when applying roles, opening the advanced screen, etc). Something broke recently. Have to look into it. Never mind that, should be working fine. Just something I changed loc...

Re: New permissions screen discussion..

Edit:Oh and dhn I love the way the box changes colour dynamically as you set yes|no|never. Lovely touch. I just realised, that this is actually a little broken currently. It should show the correct colour dynamically all the time (when applying roles, opening the advanced screen, etc). Something br...

Re: New permissions screen discussion..

You are missing the new admin.css - either you didn't update your CVS properly (sf might be slow with it), or you didn't refresh your browser cache yet.

Re: Why, oh why...

Is that IE6 or IE7? I noticed some strange behaviour with IE7 regarding caching too.

Edit: A quick test shows me that this is indeed happening in IE7.
Edit numero due: IE6 showing the same behaviour too 8O
