What gives you the reason to think phpbb cannot upload avatars to your server? Just make sure you chmod the avatar directory to 777 and tell the ACP to upload avatars and away you go :arrow: Doesn't always work. I had problems, especially when trying to upload avatars that were on other sites, i.e....

It downloaded fine. And don't read anything into the CVS not downloading into being a kind of precursor to anything.

Thanks for that post, Graham. I've been curious about getting a preview of what the ACP <may> look like and the options contained within, all without running the risk of downloading and installing a CVS snapshot.
