Re: phpBB 3.1.10 RC1 released

Thanx for clearing up the last part David! As for the upgrade part, i am making a local copy right now, going to do the exact same exercise as before. Let's just see what is happening. I think that either way, any feedback would be good because i was the one who had the long migration times before (...

Re: phpBB 3.1.10 RC1 released

I know David. But my second problem was the extremely long migration times when updating from 3.1.9 to 3.2.0RC1, i know Marc was working on multiple things including the BBCode parsing problems and the migration problem... 2 things i desperately need fixed on my prod environment... So back to my ori...

Re: phpBB 3.1.10 RC1 released

If you're talking about the unparsed BBCode that happens if there is a BBCode being the first thing nested inside the quote tag then, as far as I know, that's been an issue for a very long time and I don't think will be touched in 3.1. It has been fixed in 3.2. Thanx David, it WAS fixed but few day...

Re: phpBB 3.1.10 RC1 released

@marc: best course of action (with extreme migration time in mind and the quote around bbcode ticket not fixed) Safely update to the 3.1.10 because it doesn't touch these issues or carefully test? Asking because i saw the unverified fix (#14740) being kicked out few days ago AND extensive work being...

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2 released

As far as I'm aware most of this if not all of that should have been cleared up in the past few weeks. Marc, Couldn't install latest RC1 any sooner so my apologies for that. Same config as before, same DB and took some tries before it works. It all comes down to: Installed Schema: \phpbb\db\migrati...

Re: New Style for phpBB 3.3 ?

I'll amend that to be those community members that are not inclined to just ranting about processes and decisions instead of doing the style work. So those of you that fit in with the description can PM away. If you don't receive a response in a few days then just forward the PM to either Marc or m...

Re: New Style for phpBB 3.3 ?

we kind of do internally on github, its just not a team on team page of the site as we pull from several aspects that have a say on the theme dev team/styles team/website team/extensions team as they all work with the front-end in some capacity I kind of go with 3Di on this one. It is nice that we ...

Re: New Style for phpBB 3.3 ?

I've actually been working on reworking the overall ACP UI and UX in the past months Marc, on a sidenote: wouldn't it be time to start with a dedicated frontend dev-team? proSilver (or "the theme" in general) is an ongoing discussion and has been for the last couple of years. I am not loo...

Re: New Style for phpBB 3.3 ?

Admittedly, the ProSilver style feels very dated. The design language of the web has changed, and even though 3.1 did make subtle changes to the theme to improve its markup with more use of CSS to replace hardcoded images, we've had the exact same default interface for nearly 10 years. phpBB looks ...
