We are using Symfony 2.8 as it's a long term support version. It will be receiving bug fixes until November 2018 and security fixes until November 2019. Sure, we can extend that. Also, I'm thinking of creating a short script that will automatically create this today. Right now I always have to go through the markdown and update it by hand which is quite annoying tbh.
