Re: "Official" integration with Akismet

Hello David, SFS e.g. gives you the frequency value back which tells you how often ip, username and email are reported to SFS. In your application you can use this value to reduce false positives. Also e.g. you can say only block posts or user registrations if ip and email are listed. I have prepare...

Re: WISH: Support for standard email addresses

Hello,
+1

For the board (founder) email address it really would be a good thing.
In all others cases you can use the username.

Re: Improvement of the Ban System

Hello,
IMO blocking with automatically mantained remote databases called blacklists is much more effective and has much less false positives.

Re: "Official" integration with Akismet

Hello, at the moment I'm thinking about adding Akismet to Advanced Block MOD. At the moment on my development board I have StopForumSpam added both for blocking and reporting. It's great! :) The demo blok log: http://www.martin-truckenbrodt.com/cgi/phpBB3/abm_logs.php It's possible very easily to ma...

Re: Forums depending on users language

Hello, +1 !!! Would be a very nice feature. But IMO first browser language detection should be added. Then your requested feature can be really very usefull. It think there is a validated Olympus MOD doing if for guests. There are not a lot of code changes needed. BTW: Don't forget to change anonymo...

Re: PRUNE USERS - enhancements

Hello, User pruning can not prevent spammers. But you can use it to remove most of successfully registered spammers from the user table (memberslist). My problem with recent phpBB default feature is that administrators can do very bad thinks in stupid combinations of settings. Also these settings ar...

Re: Anyone ported Bad Behavior?

Hello, my last visit on area51 is long time ago. @michield: Which phpBB3 SFS MOD are you using? Some months ago I've added SFS support to Advanced Block MOD on the development board. Since this implementation I'm doing a daily look to my My Spammers log on SFS website. In my experience it's much mor...

Re: [RFC|Accepted] Improve User Pruning feature

Hello, please think again about auto user pruning. I think it's a important and very usefully feature. The confirmation page is a very good idea! If ADAP still will be needed for Ascraeus then I will include it there, too. Sorry, since 2011 I'm very busy in job. Also I'm working on the next Advanced...
