Re: New CAPTCHA

The Captcha is still being worked upon. I got locked out and requested a new password ... so I get the password and go to log in but have "exceeded the number of login attempts". So login wanted me to do the CAPTCHA. It took me 4 tries to finally get one correct. This isn't a *beep*, just feedback ...

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

That particular principle (the triangle of implementation cost vs. time vs. quality) still applies to ubuntu. It wasn't designed to apply to consumers, but rather to projects. Even if the eventual consumers of the project pay nothing, the project still has costs. Right-O. The dotcom millionaire's $...

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

*mutters under breath* "are we talking about Ubuntu or phpBB?" The point being that phpBB is inexpensive (it has only a few developers working part-time on it), and high quality, two desirables, so the third desireable (speed) is going to suffer. n.b., "speed" in this context refers to how long it ...

The developer guys are doing a great job, and they are very fast!
they're doing a fine job, but "fast" is not an adjective I'd associate with the pace of development :p
In any project you can have :
  • - good
    - fast
    - cheap
Pick 2 :-)[/color]

Re: New CAPTCHA

It looks like a new Captcha has finally been committed, and so I grabbed a snapshot to see how it looked. I have to say, it's rather hard to understand some of the images. It looks rather difficult for bots to read (especially the first one) but also rather difficult for me to read. What do you thi...

Looks pretty good...but that 1 in the second one really looks like a 7. ;)
It **is** a [7] !!!

I do prefer these latter pastels.

Re: New CAPTCHA

Well, you 3 are a "small sample". The numbers say when 12-13 people look at the [7], then 1 of them will not be able to see the "7". What I really should have done for a better control is put up the [7] and ask who sees a [4] !!! LOLOOL ... not that anyone here would lie ........... :-PPP Color vis...
