Re: My fórum uses phpBB 2.0.x and has diverse MODs

i love spanish speaking people trying to speak english :p my favorite part? "To migrar" hmm?! Unless things have changed drastically since yesterday, portuguese is still the language spoken (and written) in Brasil  edit: just read the Chit Chat and our Brasileiro already mentioned th...

Re: This forum

The answer is simple: it's running the latest "stable" release (which is B2), probably (or maybe not) already including some patches (which may or may not be in B3). Re: The meaning of your alias

warmweer is dutch for hot weather.

Years ago I quickly needed a nickname in order to join a community and just chose the first thing that came into my mind on a steaming May day. I've kept it ever since and it's patented now 8)

Re: My theory on Olympus...

Well, err... Fun reading it, but you could at least have overheated a spelling check on it, expanded a subplot here and there, included some form of time relativity, and it lacks a bit of psychohistory? I beg to differ: the feature is there because the developers included it. Users requesting a feature is not sufficient reason to include it (and the fi...

<snip>i imagine this can be useful in an environment where the board serves real communities, (rather than virtual ones)...</snip> Exactly. Managers of a real-life group can have private, online discussions in a forum that is not open to the rest of the real community which also uses the same board...

Re: Quick Reply...

There are more topics where QR is discussed than there are fingers on my hands (including my feet).
QR will not be a default feature (certainly not in 3.0, perhaps in later versions).

Re: Will phpBB3 have MODs?

... Currently, each time a mod has to be installed, each style has to be individually edited and since different styles have different codes, EasyMOD has a lot of trouble with some styles. ... One great improvement (if my statement is still valid - 'cause it's been a couple of weeks since I last ha...
