Re: Bug is less,

I've done testing for several large companies, and a number of smaller projects. Not one project has ever gone into release/production with a bug count of zero. Esoteric bugs and those that are unlikely to be replicated in a large scale which are also (in both cases) not capable of serious damage to...

Re: Bug is less,

I don't think that is necessarily true, as this is only release candidate 1, it cannot be expected to have all it's i's dotted & t's crossed .. ... however, "Release Candidate" implies the above. Release Candidate implies that it is in a releasable condition, with only minor issues unresolved. Ther...

Re: phpBB 3.2

If they weren't making it for the public, I'd understand them saying "No, we don't want this as a feature." But they are making it for all of us who decide to use it. Again, no, they're not. They're making this for themselves, and choose to share it with the public. In some ways, it is like a write...

Re: proSilver

You're probably right about Paul being the one to say it, Meik, but as there was never an official change in the policy since then (and many other policies stayed in place after his departure), there was no reason to believe that it had changed. The subject had been brought up on numerous occasions ...

Re: Choosing mods? Expectations of moderators?

My admins and mods are chosen from the community, from those who have shown themselves to be helpful and level-headed. In four years, I have had to ask only one mod to resign, and 'fired' only one other. I recommend coming up with a list of duties, responsibilities, and rules for the staff, and then...

Re: Suspecting RC1 very soon!

The devs log in fairly often to read what's going on, and some of them participate a fair amount in the conversations.

Re: Still wondering why some things haven't happened...

I'm just wondering why this community package hasn't done the following to remain comparable to some of the more feature-filled alternatives... Partially because the devs don't rate phpBB based on what other forum software includes. They put in the features that they feel are important, and those t...

Yep. Life + 70 years in the United States, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, and much of the rest of Europe. Most countries have copyright durations set to life + 50 years or life + 70 years.
