Re: [RFC] Separate style and phpBB versions in style.cfg

I like the idea, both JSON & the seperation of the style versions, although it shouldn't be a hard limit. Warning the user that the style is outdated should be enough.

Re: [RFC] Delete "Confirm e-mail address" from registration

I don't think that adding another switch will make people happy. If you want to remove the confirmation, then just remove it and don't add another setting to the ACP. IMO there are already enough settings in the ACP that people barely use. ;)

Re: [RFC] Delete "Confirm e-mail address" from registration

I don't see a reason to remove this.

AFAIK most users don't even bother reading the instructions so removing this could cause lots of complaints. ;)

Re: [RFC] Include and use jQuery

The current size of the libraries: jQuery: 83,9 kB MooTools: 86,4 kB Prototype: 159 kB You could include the files with phpBB but we should make sure they are not loaded on every page as that would increase traffic more than it's needed. 329,3 kB is more than a standard prosilver needs. If you add t...

Re: Self-contained MODs

I like the idea and I think it should be possible. This would make the forum more clearly arranged, especially if you have many MODs installed. Maybe this will even be possible by just defining the inclusion path of i.e. an HTML file to the MOD path. The hook system would then load the HTML file fro...

Re: startrekguide hacked = phpbb security ?!!

If phpBB has a security problem, why didn't that hacker hack phpbb.com then? Startrekguide was using several MODs and I think some of them outdated. That might be the reason why startrekguide was hacked, but since we don't know any details we should probably wait until we know more. ;)

Re: Enable AJAX Quick Edit

Titania already has some sort of AJAX Quick Edit and I'm pretty sure that it would be possible to integrate that feature into phpBB. ;)

Re: [RFC] Include and use jQuery

As previously stated, many mods use it and adding it to the default will help prevent conflicts. More details and actual links for verification would be nice. :) I'm currently working on this MOD: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=2101869 Problems occur if you already have jQuery ...
