[RFC] Default image resizing
Many boards encounter the problem with large posted images destroying the whole layout of their forum or otherwise the images being cutoff (depending on the used style). Both aren't really a good presentation of the forum. Nowadays almost everyone posting a photo has taken that photo on a way to lar...

Re: Official Bridges
One can doubt the "general benefit" of such a feature in the default package. I favor the bridges since I use a CMS and a Wiki at my site, but including all this in the default package doesn't make sense considering many people don't use a CMS. I don't have any statistical evidence, but I ...

Re: What's wrong with phpBB development
First of all: relax! You seem to get all irritated about this, but the way I see it there's no problem. It's all an open discussion. you still try to make it the users' fault their unawareness I don't. I said the devs may have misjudged and that users could have known something was going on. It wasn...

Re: What's wrong with phpBB development
I would be interested in hearing why in the subsilver topic. Quite frankly I don't think it has much use arguing over and over again in that topic. I'm satisfied with the by rxu proposed solution. Bottom line is that I favor flexible styling above the old-fashioned styling of subSilver2. 3 years ag...

Re: What's wrong with phpBB development
Say, how would you feel if phpbb removed a feature YOU were using? I'm a subSilver2-derative user, but I'm not complaining. I favor dropping subSilver2. 8-) Do you volunteer to be that person? What would you do after phpbb developers remove code bits that subsilver needs in order to work, which pro...

Re: [RFC|Accepted] Removal of subsilver2
Shouldn't be much of a problem for ProSilver with the mentioned style specific configuration mentioned by ToonArmy, but I think it's much harder voor subSilver2.Rotsblok wrote:Don't know if it's a major problem to write...

Re: [RFC|Accepted] Optimized Page Titles patch
But most of the times it would be better to use topic title + forum name. I don't think you have statistical data for that. ;) I'll just repeat what I said before: Your theory might work sometimes, but it doesn't work always. Whether it's a 50/50, a 60/40 or a 70/30 case doesn't matter in my opinio...

Re: Automatic updater
Basically I think it's a good idea, I've stumbled on this several times with my modded boards. However I'm afraid this will become too complicated for the average user. With the current updater I'm already frequently asked to help people update because they think it's too hard for them. When impleme...

Re: More Security regarding Usernames
For what it's worth: I'd go for the option of using the email for loggin in. There is no reason for an extra userfield. I totally agree with imkingdavid on this one.

Re: What's wrong with phpBB development
However, we established already that it's a bad decision so advertising it better is a moot point - it should simply be reverted. You have established it. Not everyone. ;) This reminds me of a conversation that I sadly can't find the link to right now. It goes something like this: - Why haven't you...
