Dude, there is no 2.2 version yet, so nothing to mod. When it will be ready then you can start learning how to mod it.

CVS is not supported. If you can't install it then don't use it. Wait for beta or rc version.

That's because adm/admin_styles.php isn't complete yet. Some functions work, some don't.

Yes, it is heavily optimized.

When it will be released i don't think any other forum software will be able to compete in speed with phpbb 2.2

Well.. almost. I posted idea about <!-- SET -->, but not alternative idea about <!-- DEFINE --> that occured to me later after i started this thread and i'm going to post this alternative idea to tracker right now...
