Re: Move Sid inside the ACP urls at the very end.

I'm working on it now, my issue, I don't have a git account or the guts to get all that going, can I just provide info on what edit needs to be done? Ok I got it sorted out: the new url look something like this: http://localhost/phpbb3/adm/index.php?u=2&i=users&mode=overview&sid=5e22f5132839097c0e72...

Re: [RFC] Override Language via URL

No, an option for something like this is overkill. If we made everything an option in the ACP no user would be able to understand the ACP at all anymore. We have too many options as it is already. +1 Why don't we have a look at what other software do, or ask users on phpbb main forum where they wan...

Re: [RFC] Override Language via URL

Wouldn't you be better off put it at the botton of the page? Or that too far? I think header would be better. From my experience, foreign websites that allow easy guest language switching have it in the header. Good point, I'm used to seeing that at the botton of the page rather at the top. I would...

I think so yes, I will need to do some testing on that one as I am not 100% sure on it.

Re: [RFC] Override Language via URL

Yup I think a dropdown for guest users in the header would make sense in combination with the language in the URL. I may be able to work on a patch for this in the coming week since it should be fairly simple to do. Basically do a database query to get all installed language packs, populate the dro...

I think IP.Board got it as well, not too sure though.

Re: [RFC] Usability: Always allow user to respond to PM

In general, the PM permissions list is probably a little (err, a lot ) too granular. (Can delete private messages? WTF?) Sounds like overkill to me too. I'm all for removing this permission if we are adding a new one, to avoid making the list longer. Yes, that a 99.9% setting that would never chang...

Re: [RFC] List most recent posts on profile page

Ok, I have a question for all of you, what would you do if a RFC get approved for: Listing the last 5 posts on a users profile Listing the last 5 topics on a users profile Listing the person's friends on a users profile. How are you going to fit all that on the screen without much scolling? The scre...

Re: [RFC] List most recent posts on profile page

It's not, because it then remains on a separate page, just like it currently is, so we might as well not do it then. The whole point of this RFC was to suggest the addition of recent posts on the profile page. If you do it in tabs, then yes it is on the same page. You don't need to reload the page ...

Re: [RFC] jQuery Mobile

I think its pointless. Many mobile browsers don't even support javascript and those that do have it disabled by default. There is no use for it. Other than theme selection (which should be done via CSS, not JS), it doesn't offer anything. +1 Also Javascript like that can be rather large and some ph...
