Re: [RFC] WYSIWYG editor

I would push this very far back. The inclusion of an actual editor is javascript development not inherently linked to the core. There is one aspect that needs attention: How can custom bbcodes be designed so that an eventual editor can support them. All other questions, especially which editor to u...

Re: AJAX, jQuery, et. al.

When replacing confirmation pages you do have to think of where you want to redirect people For example, if you post a reply, you are returned to the topic viewing your reply. However when you post a new topic, the current system allows you to either return to the forum, or view the topic you just ...

Re: [End user][User] Profile control

I think you misunderstood the concept of plugins we decided on here. We basically want to implement all basic functionality as plugins, some of which are going to be enabled by default. My apologies, this is interesting indeed With this said, we will have to have a very easy to use installation and...

Re: [End user][User] Profile control

Seems like a reasonable idea for a standard plugin. I don't see any particular needs for the architecture arise from this aside from what is already being discussed in other topics. So I'd leave it at that for now and come back to it once we actually have something to work with ;-) User profiles sh...

Re: How does a friend/foe list work?

i hope the functionality of the friends list is improved, right now it doesn't really do anything. Adding friends should be easier, with "add Friend" button on user profile pages. In our user profiles "which should be merged with the ucp" managing should be easier and more eye appealing. Friend requ...

Re: [RFC] WYSIWYG editor

I would love to, but i have never been successful with logging into the wiki. I have created accounts on the area51, support forums, and created a new account from the wiki itself and still no luck. It wont let me log in.

Re: Authentication, Registration and user integration

When incorporating things like FB connect, i forse problems. FB has a tendency to change their API with little notice which would put constraints on development or worse. This same scenario is universal and could be applied to other social networking sites. Not to mention, if we discussed this topic...

Authentication, Registration and user integration

for authentication and registration i was hoping we could discuss some ideas and thoughts Authentication i was pondering support for openID, Facebook connect authentication and other social networking sites. Of course in the acp you could chose to use these or not i remember hearing talk about a php...
