Re: Which IE versions should we kill?

As long as we keep on using progressive enhancement, phpBB will always "work" in IE8, even if it doesn't look completely right (unsupported CSS) or some functionality doesn't seem to be working (unsupported JS operations), it will always be possible to simply use phpBB with any browser.

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

Are you OK if I don't do this and give more time for discussion? I guess it is not something that important to have and we may have better suggestions from phpBB's users. I'll keep this working for inline BBCode (b,i,u,etc...) but it won't work for block-level BBCode. @Pony99CA I'll get you one late...

Re: Which IE versions should we kill?

IMO, from a webdev perspective, IE9 is an acceptable browser and IE10 is a good browser. They behave in a good or OK manner, specially considering the time they were made. Starting on IE11, I think they finally caught up on the "train" and they are doing it right. In other words, Volksdevil, I think...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

@Nicofuma, @joshyPHP, regardless of the above question in this post, what do you think?

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

You mean... The ones sent to the indent/outdent are the selected text (including nodes) or do you mean is the text node the separation unit?

@Nicofuma, @joshyPHP, regardless of the above question in this post, what do you think?

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

That's an interesting way of viewing it. It seems to be a nice solution... 1 pending issue with that logic, though: With lists, the indent/outdent acts on a single tag or a set of <li> tags depending on user selection. How should it act inside a set of tags such as the result HTML for the [ quote] t...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

I think the default should be to stack because that's what happens when in the source mode. What do you think?

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

You mean... I should hardcode the rules for each BBCode? Probably I guess. I'd like to have more opinions... At least from @nicofuma . If I get greenlight to go like that, I'll make special, though reusable, rules for included BBCodes which some/many can be activated in the ACP and all are availabl...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

Where do I get the logic of a BBCode if not hardcoded somewhere? Anything that produces valid HTML is allowed, but that doesn't really matter here. As Nicofuma said, it's about what makes sense. It doesn't make much sense to "double bold" some text even if it's allowed. Just follow the rules of a g...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

Tags such as b and i do not allow themselves as child of themselves I don't know if it's relevant to WYSIWYG but in 3.2 b can be used inside of b . Same thing with i , u , etc... Yeah... I checked and they really allow themselves inside each other like that... I'll have to find someway else to defi...
