Last topic titles

Is it already on the feature list for 3.1 to add the last topic title/link on the index page? I think the NV Advanced Last Topic Titles is a great implementation of the concept, as it has plenty of customization options available in the ACP, and it works great to do what it is meant to do. While I r...

Number formatting

If you look right now at a high number in phpBB, (e.g. 10000, 1000, etc.), it is all one flat string. I think that changing this would be a good idea for 3.1, as numbers that have comma separation are easier to read at a glance. What I mean is changing 10000 to 10,000. Take 1000000000 for example. W...

Re: Login Logs

Well, the logoff would be less useful because a lot of people never actually click Logout. But I think having a log with the IP, the number of attempts, etc. would be useful.

Re: [RFC] Post log/record

This would be a good feature but there should be an on/off switch, a field saying maximum disk space for old posts, leave blank for unlimited (so it limit how much db space it would use and prune old ones), a button to prune from before a selected date or prune all. I would not limit the db space t...

I think that would be a good idea, having a list of installed styles as well as the most used style on that board, etc.

Re: Post Unapprove function

@Comkid about that last bit, he's talking about unapproving a post that has not yet been through the moderation queue. It's very highly similar to the Soft Delete concept, and in fact does not have much difference at all. The only difference is that it would put the post back into moderation queue i...

Re: Spam handling for phpBB 3.1

How would you handle permissions for this? Afterall a moderator might not be allowed to delete posts in all forums the spammer can post to. Should only global moderators have this option? Or should there me some sort of exception that allows local moderators to delete posts in forums that they cann...

Re: Participating in Development

As people have said, dive in. Also there are quite a few different sites around.

Most of the code is more self explanatory than I remember it being in 2.0, and it is easier to get the hang of, so it makes it easier to make MODs and changes.

And cherokee_red is correct. "EasyMOD" is now "AutoMOD". ;)

Re: [RFC] Moderation System

Thanks cherokee_red for moving this to the proper forum. Also, an RFC has been created in the wiki here , and as such, the first post has been modified to not repeat all of the information included in the wiki. Discussion is welcome. Thanks! EDIT: I just added some stuff about logging user, admin, a...

Re: subsilver2

The thing is, it isn't completely just about which MODs support ss2, is about people who enjoy using ss2-based styles on their sites. If ss2 is dropped in 3.1, people will have to convert ss2 into ps. I'm not too big a fan of ss2, but I think that for the sake of people who use it, it should at leas...
