Re: State of Area51

Another thing, when I tried to post the above message and added the attachment, then tried to preview, it only showed me a "image01" in the preview and not the image itself. I clicked on it and was greeted with the following error. Not sure if that is supposed to happen. 004.jpg EDIT:Corrected some ...

If so, that is a bug and should be addressed. As for removing the counter entirely or at least making it an option, that is beyond the bounds o...

Re: Google Chrome release cycle

If think maybe because some site owners tend to wait with the upgrade to the latest release till they are sure their customizations work with the latest version. If something suddenly does not work, it would be hard to tell why it does not work anymore. Was it an update or maybe something on the ser...

Re: Adding a Chat Box?

Old fashioned or not, forums make you actually think about what you would like to write. Chats do not contribute anything to a forum. Most forums die in my opinion because people tend to be lazy and so rather post one liners and idiotic smilies in chat than to post something contributing to a forum...

Re: Removal of subsilver2 in 3.1

The main arguments for keeping subsilver were ease of its modification by some board admins, its lighter weight compared to prosilver (and now with ajax prosilver is even heavier) and possibly the fact that some people simply liked its look/feel better. These reasons apply today as much as they did...

Re: Removal of subsilver2 in 3.1

Arty and you are forgetting one major factor - user's wish. Did you ever ask user's why they don't update their board? I think with complete abandonment of subsilver2, you will not force the users to switch to prosilver. You will force them to stay on the old version and that is not, what we develo...
