But new events added to 3.1 should also be added to 3.2, shouldn't they?
They are added by routine merging of 3.1.x into 3.2.x.

Re: Some help creating a PR

That is because you try to merge your PR into 3.2.x branch, whilst new events belong to 3.1.x branch.

Re: New Style for phpBB 3.3 ?

In a development environment, SASS would be compiled at runtime in the browser. I had an opportunity to try this technique on one major project and found it impractical. Gulp + browsersync are my favourites now. I am not sure whether there has already been a discussion about it, but maybe you could...

Re: [3.3+] No notifications in webpage title

Extension can solve this. You can't turn it off on Facebook either, whatever more annoying it is there. But, since I am frustrated by such things, too:

Re: [3.3.x][Feature] Topic description

While I agree with you it's also true that additions of something this small is would likely not even change the size by even a KB. It's not about filesize, but about complexity of the code. All 3.x versions suffer from the fact, that they inherit code from old 3.0 versions, which is, admit it, arc...

Re: [3.3.x][Feature] Topic description

I still don't get it. Why don't we just aim to have core as small as possible and leave such features for extension writers. This is really a not feature that would be requested by or used by majority of boards...

Is this not something that could/should be handled with one or more events with extensions customised for the various storage facilities?
It's also the way, but the same can be told about cache providers, auth providers, avatar providers, etc.

Re: Upload providers

S3/Dropbox are storage providerd, how is that related to how the file is uploaded? What you want is storage providers, not upload providers. Sorry, I was maybe just confusing. CHItA explained it clearly. We would implement the filesystem interface and let various providers handle the files in their...

File storage providers

If I do not miss something, there is only one way of handling uploads in phpBB - plupload. Right? I think we should, in a world of cloud computing and remote data storages, start to discuss on how to make phpBB handle different upload providers. The idea is like this: provide an abstraction over fil...
