Re: [RFC] Private message notifications

I am not sure it is worth of doing it... I mean, great idea, however phpBB itself needs to provide only basic functionality end users want. I consider this request be the same as "the latest posts on forum index" - it can be easily done as MOD, and many users not wanting it do not need to turn it of...

Re: [RFC] WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

Also styling will probably change, as it needs to suit current style (prosilver, etc.), but it looks pretty good!

Re: [RFC] WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

Is there a way to quicky switch back to old textbox-style editor? This should be one of the most important features. Maybe it does not need to switch it back to textarea, but (as it works ie for vBulletin) just keep editor, but show BBCodes in text. I mean something like when you use rich text edito...

I would recommend to remove bottom panel (currently showing "body p span") - We will not need it using BBCode as well as majority of users do not know what does this even mean...

Re: [RFC] Q&A plugin by default

-1 As callumacrae said, if you set default questions, many boards will keep those questions, and it is pretty simple for bots to know answers for them. Setting reCaptcha as refault is also weird, because you force user to go to external site (recaptcha.com). However it seems like no other way is pos...

Re: [RFC] WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

...So, why not provide BBCode editor as default, and then switch state to Rich Text Editor when ever the user feels to? I think it is workt of it to add options to UCP. Or at least save it to cookie and display editor according to that. It would be greatly abbusive to common users to switch to Rich...

However, I would keep disabling possible and add this as a new option. In fact, it is not just about posting, what can make problems when updating; also sessions, etc...

Re: [RFC] Javascript Preview

+1 I have already been working on one preview parser parsing BBCodes (tribalwars ingame messages) and JavaScript is just enough to parse all available BBCodes. Also custom BBCodes created by user though ACP would not be problematic, I think. I cannot see any problem with any BBCode. Maybe could be q...

I suggest changing this so it would appear seamlessly in the header like it does on public page.
