Re: Comparison & Result & Suggestions

I'm sorry but I just had to reply @ the TS.. Because other forum software has it, doesn't mean that phpBB must have it. If everything was the same (like features etc) then there isn't much to choose from. It would become obsolete to have 4 or 5 different "companies" making it, oké perhaps code base...

Re: WYSIWYG editor

I see that some people may not want a WYSIWYG editor, but that person is not the average joe. And I don't see why it shouldn't be an option. You can always switch to a plain editor if you think you are cool. Or one that emulates VIM using javascript . Also, you voice concerns with non-javascript de...

PM QuickReply

Yes, lets add that to 3.1 :D I know I have been mumbling about this at phpbb.com several times, but it would be a real nice feature. When You are an active team member at any board, you will receive a decent amount of PM's and therefore you will be writing and answering lots of PM's It would make li...

Re: WYSIWYG editor

You can really beautyfi your posts with a WYSIWYG editor. My point is that nobody really uses it. In most boards the users will have no idea how to use the WYSIWYG editor. It will only confuse them. I dont think that a WYSIWYG editor ever will be implemented in phpBB and I honestly believe it would ...

Re: WYSIWYG editor

One thing we should definitely keep in mind before packaging such a thing is it's size. I must say that overblown WYSWIG editors which double the download bundle size are very annoying. +1 If its going to be a switch on/off thing its fine with me. Looking at post at my own boards and phpbb.com, the...

Okay guys, gzip is now on. TerryE -> It is some interesting readings. Especielly your board-analysis is interesting, mostly because that is the part I understand the best ;) Viewtopic is one of the most often modified files, used for showing extra info. This will come in handy when we reach the limi...

Re: ACM Modules

Okay, then the "problem" for me is that my server almost always is on idle :D Spec: AuthenticAMD, Quad-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 1354 & 6GB RAM - dedicated server. I know it is overkill, but I am guarenteed 99.9 % uptime and that is what I want. I only host about 6 boards there, only 3 of them ...
