Re: phpBB 3.2.0-a2 released

When trying to update:

Code: Select all

Please delete, move or rename the install directory before you use your board. If this directory is still present, only the Administration Control Panel (ACP) will be accessible.

Index page title

Hello, I would like to suggest that you change the board index title when this part of the setting is in use: Board index text: This text is displayed as the board index in the board’s breadcrumbs. If not specified, it will default to “Board index”. So the title will be Development Discussion Board ...

Re: Älphäbet url support

http://www.älypää.com <- phpBB3 fails in this area. These should work in phpBB4 :) This is becoming a real problem when users are forced to use tinyurls or encode it manually. Example; http://www.xn--lyp-plada.com for http://www.älypää.com or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matti_Nyk%C3%A4nen for http...

Re: PhpBB Simple/Advanced

IMO this is a style/template problem. Creating a template that hides features is pretty simple - the question is which features to hide. Not only hide, also a turn on/off switch in UCP. Yes, which features to hide. Maybe some kind of configuration in ACP? But You are right, its not easy to chose wh...

Re: PhpBB Simple/Advanced

Removing the ability to easily add smileys or format their post without any knowledge somehow makes it easier? Yes. Man y users doesnt use bbcode or smilies. With less thing on posting page its easier to figure out what to do. People have to learn how to use the forums at some point, and tbh they a...

Re: Attachment Password & Multiple File Upload

Yes, uploading multiple files without having to reload the page (using AJAX or even just plain JS to add a new file input field) would greatly improve the user experience. For example when uploading a ton of photos. Further more that little page refresh is confusing for some users. To me it just a ...
