Re: [Suggestion] Delete/modify posts in own threads

Re: View Count

I'm not sure (should have checked :/) - But the question of unique views or just views still stand.

EDIT

Was reading that and tbh what are peoples opinions on this for 3.1?

There are a number of things that can be done:
1. Leave it as it is
2. Leave it as it is but not include bot hits
3. Make it unique views

What do you think?

Re: [RFC] Switch to PHP timezone handling

Errr, if I signed up to a forum and saw a massive list to go through I wouldnt be bothered, you want to give users a small presentable list. Narrowing it down by JS/GeoIP is a good idea, but its too much to ask for users to do all that. Whilst technically better, do most users realise the difference...

Re: Cleaning up the ACP UI

The ACP does need to be cleaned-up a bit and there is a lot of unnecessary duplication as pointed out in this post and another. However, I don't agree with dumping the General tab altogether. I like being able to go to the ACP and have quick access to what I'm looking for. Just an idea but perhaps ...

Re: [Suggestion] Delete/modify posts in own threads

I know of quite a few sites that will host phpbb forums, and most of them don't allow mods. And all of them are modded by the hosts, basing features in phpBB based on free forum hosts is an awful idea imo. I am a member of a forum whose sole purpose is to facilitate games of Werewolf/Mafia (whateve...

Re: [Suggestion] Delete/modify posts in own threads

Yes this would be useful for some boards but allowing users to start moderating their own threads is an issue tbh. Moderation/Administration tools should only be handed out to those users that you absolutely trust, and that is not the genreal public. For example, i make a post, people make posts, an...

Same as Facebook and twitter is what he's suggesting, personally I see no use or benefit of this, so if OP can suggest some would be good..

Re: Cleaning up the ACP UI

On second thought, a forum based permisions is good where it is - when editting a forum, it means a whole other click (which is alot, considering we're trying to reduce them [no?] and make it easier to find information) to leave forum based permisisions, which is a core feature and very forum relate...
