Re: More Security regarding Usernames
With Captchas, Bans, and server logs if you detect 1 million failed password attempts it should be extremely difficult to bruteforce a strong password, which would be 8 characters consisting of smallcaps, largecaps, numbers and symbols. The second level of protection should be enforcing a strong pas...

Online kitchen
?
With phpBB moving towards becoming more modular it can be done by including it, however could cuase issues with shipping broken installations, incompabilities, support, etc.

Re: [RFC|Accepted] Optimized Page Titles patch
By looking at the title I can tell that Amazon.com isnt Search Engine Optimized. I stopped reading right there, eveer searched for a product and not seen amazon in the top 10? Having the name in the title gives identity making it more human friendly, and if anything makes it rank better due to keyw...

Re: More Security regarding Usernames
I am against requiring yet another required field for a user upon signup. The signup form is, in my opinion, already longer than it should be (a simple username + password + email + anti-spam measure form would suffice, and the rest can be filled in later), and making the user remember something el...

Re: Site Map
My idea? I don't know if it actually helps search engines, but it can't hurt the site as a whole. Whether or not the site map is present, the typical user couldn't care less. This. I have never encountered a person that browses a forum using its sitemap - all the effort into making the template wou...

Re: Cleaning up the ACP UI
I suppose the ideal quick access modules would be the ones "most frequently used in the last 30 days" or some similar time frame. That would mean logging the number of times the module was accessed, which I don't see any other reason to implement. This could potentially create create a unique ACP f...
