Can be good as an option if used for emails in post aswell as on a users profile.

Must be able to disabled it on a per forum basis though since bots cant access all areas on most forums because of permisions. And by "bots" i mean registered users guests.

Removing the ability to easily add smileys or format their post without any knowledge somehow makes it easier?

People have to learn how to use the forums at some point, and tbh they arent really complicated at all.

Remember WYSIWYG editor would be completely optional, and most likely enabled or disabled by default based on users options.

Wouldnt this do better in 3.2 discussion since its something people are looking to implement but not quiet there?
