Re: two boards sharing users and groups

If you were to 'fuse' two boards together as described here, wouldn't it also be possible to share the same styles and images in a single directory on the server? This way the user would only need one cache of the images on his harddrive for both forums, wouldn't he? Just a thought i had... even tho...

Re: two boards sharing users and groups

For one there is the size of the board. If you were to put 2 complete Boards into one, you'd either have to scroll 3 monitors down or you had to creep into the deepnested boards, which isn't nice either. And you could alternate the styles and use others modification to better suit the solution your ...

Re: two boards sharing users and groups

@KFCSpike I thought of doing something like this as well, because... Think about having a network of multiple bigger forums for different topics. Plus, it's a psychological thing as well... since it is a milestone ... something bigger that indicates that we are closer to a stable release. It's all about motivati...

Re: on reg.

Isn't this feature already implemented in almost every forum software? In User Registration Settings you set Account activation to admin: http://img226.imageshack.us/img226/1368/adminapprovezx8.th.png Now the admin has to approve the registrations before the user can do anything :) If you meant this...

Re: The future of phpBB(4)?

1) I think the Woltlab Burning Board people want to implement something like that, so maybe we can learn from them, if they actually manage to do that :P

2) The current update for smf RC2 wants to be installed manually.
