Re: My opinion of phpBB3...

I already have EasyMOD installed, my host did it for me when I began the board... I did not make a backup while I updated from 2.0.18 to 2.0.19, but the only thing that doesn't work is logging into my Administrator control panel. If my host doesn't know how to fix it, then I will most probably just ...

Re: Can I set up a demo?

The BETA will be used for testing anyone by people? Does this mean it will be a much more secure and safer version rather then downloading phpBB3 now and using it for a community?

Cause if they will practically be the same, then I would use phpBB3 now...

Re: My opinion of phpBB3...

Alright, thanks again. I have decided to use the 'Code Changes' .zip file, as I think it is easier for me to do. I will keep you updated on what happens and whether everything is successful and works. ;) Edit: Alright, it's taken me a while to add in all the new codes just for 2.0.19. The forum work...

Re: My opinion of phpBB3...

Hey there, thanks for your reply. Which .zip file am I only meant to download, 'Changed Files Only', 'Patch File Only' or 'Code Changes'?

Just asking to make sure. On the Opentools.de website, the 2.0.18 to 2.0.19 download file is 'Code Changes'. Is this the correct one to download?

Re: My opinion of phpBB3...

That's awesome {james}. Does everything work right when you edit it and is it better then other forum software, mainly SMF? I agree with you totally paulblackgsx. I am currently on the look for a cheap domain name, and maybe a cheap license for an IPB or vBulletin forum. Things aren't looking well o...

Re: My opinion of phpBB3...

Oh ok, cool. The webhost that I use and also Moderator on is called TheIcy. It is a free webhost, but you have to post on the forum in order to get points (10 points per post) in which you use to pay for the hosting each month. Their are several packages to choose from, each offering more things suc...

Re: My opinion of phpBB3...

My web host is trustworthy. I am a Moderator on their forum. The latest software is always installed on the hosting service to ensure that everything is up to date. Want to know what host, just ask me. Oh ok, you're mainly looking at lifestyle and stuff like that. I am interested in the graphic/inte...

Re: My opinion of phpBB3...

That's alright still... I had 15 registerees, with 54 posts since December last year. Not a good tally at my rate. It's good that you have stuck with your forum though. In the past, whenever people didn't sign up to my forums and/or weren't active, I just closed them down and started a new forum on ...
