Re: The new phpBB version - Guess the Release Date Competit

Ooh, I don't know... I have a working build on my site and it's working perfectly.

The beta has been announced, it's stable and complete... It's not far off now.

Re: Migrating from 2.X to Olympus

Yep, sorry, I saw some references to "no support until 2.2.0" and got caught on that. AFAIK, I've seen it here, the Converter is ready, we just need that simple upgrade.php file released. It's one file, nothing big, but it assists with the future development of phpBB in to 2.2.0 and beyond by allowi...

Re: Migrating from 2.X to Olympus

Well, it's not a complete CVS version... it has been upgraded, technically the tag
should read 2.2.0, not 2.1.0.

I mean, it is a 2.1.0 release, but it has the stability of version 2.2.0.

The only real difference in it is that it lacks the Database Converter.

Re: the sadness

That really sucks.

And it looks like a really good board system as well, it would be a shame to halt
development of it.

Re: Whois FuntKlakow

Does this apply to phpBB2? I was using phpBB2 at the time.

I want to install Olympus now, but the lack of converter is making this extremely
difficult. I'd hate my forums to go down just because a phpBB Converter is missing.

Re: Thanks phpBB team!

Really appreciate it and I look forward to the day we can use the final release of this impressive code. Or even the beta release would do. phpBB Olympus is extremely stable. I know as i've been working with the CVS build for the last 5 hours, feeding in data and changing features, and it's great. ...

Re: Migrating from 2.X to Olympus

See, my phpBB2 installation was damaged by hackers, and I had this perfect version of Olympus just sitting there. Now i'm hand porting 1600 posts and my hands are killing me. I've been at it for 5 hours and i'm only 5% there. Please give us something!? We really like phpBB, we just want to test and ...

Re: Whois FuntKlakow

Well, FuntKlakow struck again, this time corrupting my MySQL databases in the portion that stores votes for forum polls. And i'm sure it was FuntKlakow. Here is the last table note in the Server Registry: "hacked by yours truley FunKlakow" We have pulled MacForum offline for repairs. All seems to be...
